Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Trailer: Kartik Aaryan refuses to take Manjulika aka Kiara seriously while we miss Vidya Balan
The much anticipated trailer of Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is finally out and it is everything we expected it to be. However, we do miss Vidya Balan, who wonderfully played the character of a woman possessed by Manjulika in the original film.
When a standalone sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa was announced, fans were super excited to see Kartik Aaryan in the lead. However, there were a few who wondered if he would be able to match up to Akshay Kumar , who headlined the original horror comedy. Well, after what seems like a very long wait, the much awaited trailer of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is finally out and all our doubts have vanished! Also starring Kiara Advani and Tabu , the Anees Bazmee directorial once again introduces us to the ghost of Manjulika, a classical dancer from Bengal.
Kartik aka Roohan Randhawa can see ghosts, but he doesn’t really take Manjulika seriously when his bhabhi Tabu tells him about her. He decides to open the door of her room, where her evil spirit has been locked since the last many years. Soon Manjulika takes over Roohan’s love interest Reet aka Kiara’s body and she makes everybody’s life a living hell. While Kartik is as entertaining as ever, we wish we got to see more of Tabu in the trailer. Meanwhile, Kiara has done a good job of acting like she is possessed. But we really miss Vidya Balan , who had portrayed the role of Manjulika in the original film.
Kiara does look convincing, but Vidya had succeeded in scaring us organically, which was one of the biggest reasons behind the success of the 2007 film. Rajpal Yadav who returns as Chhote Pandit, on the other hand, will manage to leave you in splits yet again with his expressions and one liners. All in all, the trailer of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has definitely given us high hopes for the film. Will it be compared to the original? Yes. But will it entertain the audience and give them a cinematic experience to remember? We sure do hope so! Let’s see how the horror comedy fares when it arrives in theatres on 20th May.
