Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Title Track: Kartik Aaryan’s dance moves are delightful, the lyrics not so much

The much awaited trailer of Kartik Aaryan ’s upcoming film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was dropped last week and it looked promising. We did miss Vidya Balan as Manjulika but overall the story, the characters and the comedy seemed like they were worth the wait. One major highlight of the trailer was the title track that we heard in the background. Along with the groovy beats, which reminded us of Akshay Kumar ’s original track, makers gave us a few snippets of Kartik from the music video to gush over. Well, the song is out now and we can’t get enough of it!

We all know that reboot versions of songs don’t always do very well because they are constantly compared to the original. But makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 have succeeded in making their title track quite different from the Akshay starrer. The music video feels fresh, Kartik’s swag is on point and his killer dance moves are to die for. The hook step especially, is a treat! Sadly, the same can’t be said for some of the lyrics. The rap is the same as it was but some bits have been translated which don’t go with the vibe-- for example, ‘kill karna uski hobby’. Nevertheless, the song is fun, the beats are foot-tapping and we can’t stop looking at Kartik!

Also starring Kiara Advani and Tabu , Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a spiritual sequel of Akshay and Vidya’s 2007 film, which continues to be one of the most iconic masterpieces of Bollywood. The horror comedy is all set to arrive in theatres on 20th May and fans have really high expectations from it. Do you think Kartik and Kiara will be able to meet these expectations?
