'Best cast ever assembled… ruined by Arjun Kapoor': Netizens react to Kuttey's motion poster featuring Tabu, Naseeruddin Shah, Konkana Sen
On Friday, the makers dropped the much-awaited motion poster of the film featuring Naseeruddin Shah, Konkana Sen, Tabu Arjun Kapoor, Radhika Madan, Kumud Mishra, and Shardul Bhardwaj. However, the netizens are not convinced about Arjun being part of the ensemble cast.
Ever since Vishal Bhardwaj’s son Asmaan Bhardwaj’s directorial debut Kuttey has been announced, it has piqued interest for its quirky title and talented star cast. On Friday, the makers dropped the much-awaited motion poster of the film featuring Naseeruddin Shah , Konkana Sen, Tabu Arjun Kapoor , Radhika Madan, Kumud Mishra, and Shardul Bhardwaj. However, the netizens are not convinced about Arjun being part of the ensemble cast. While some predicted movie to be a disaster because of him, others wondered how he gets the movie after back-to-back flops.
The motion poster gives a sneak peek into the seven characters played by the aforesaid actors. The film’s tagline reads, “Ek haddi, saat kuttey’, which is translated to “One bone for seven dogs.” While Arjun and Tabu playing a cop and a senior investigation officer respectively, Naseeruddin Shah appears to be essaying the role of a gangster while Konkona seems to play a Naxalite leader. On the other hand, Radhika, Shardul, and Kumud are on a mission to kill someone.
Soon after the poster surfaced, a section of Twitterati expressed their displeasure over Arjun Kapoor joining the cast. One user wrote, “All is FANTASTIC except #ArjunKapoor .. why he??” Another reacted, “Cant they just cast a good actor. Why waste money on nepotism talent less product.” One social media user stated, “Ye Arjun Kapoor ke paas producers ka koi video hai kya???” “Flop. Arjun Kapoor ke saath apna career bhi khatam kar denge log, added another.
Meanwhile, The film is said to be a heist comedy with other details about the same kept under wraps. The trailer of the film is expected soon. Backed by Luv Ranjan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ankur Garg and Rekha Bhardwaj in association with Bhushan Kumar’s T-series, it is slated to hit theatres on January 13, 2023.
