Bagheera Trailer OUT: Srii Murali transforms into a masked ‘rakshasa’ to combat evil

After a long wait, the makers unveiled Kannada star Srii Murali’s highly anticipated film Bagheera's trailer on October 21. More than 10 months after the release of the teaser, the makers have finally released the trailer of the film, ahead of its much-awaited Diwali release. Starring Srii Murali and Rukmini Vasanth in the lead roles, Bagheera is written by acclaimed filmmaker Prashanth Neel, known for KGF and Salaar, and directed by Dr. Suri.

The explosive trailer begins with a little boy asking his mother why gods appeared only during the times of the Mahabharata and Ramayana and not in the present. The woman responds that gods do not appear at all times, but when sins in society reach a peak and turmoil is everywhere, they take a divine form, which could also manifest as a demon.

The trailer then showcases a masked man, played by Srii Murali, who appears to tackle the evil elements of society. Bagheera is portrayed as a vigilante who kills criminals in disguise. Srii Murali also plays a dual role—as a police officer named Vedanth, whose city is on the radar of Bagheera. In these two roles, Bagheera/Vedanth is in charge of cleansing the evil from society. The explosive trailer has captivated all the fans who are thrilled to witness this superhero action thriller during the Festival of lights!

Produced by Hombale Films, the movie also features Prakash Raj, Rangayana Raghu, Achyut Kumar, and Garuda Ram in key roles.

The big Diwali release clash

At the box office, Bagheera will compete with multiple big releases, including Lucky Bhaskar, Amaran, Brother, Mechanic Rocky, and Bloody Beggar from the South, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again will join the Diwali race the next day. It is scheduled for a grand release on October 31, 2024.
