Bad Newz box office collection Day 2: Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, Ammy Virk’s film takes a leap; earns THIS much!

It just cannot get more ironical than this one. Even though the film’s title is Bad Newz, the box office collections (so far) of the film are just the opposite. It is only delivering ‘good news’ for the makers of Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, Ammy Virk’s film.

After having released on July 19, the film went on to become Vicky Kaushal’s biggest opener to date. And, as for the film’s second day collections, it has collected Rs. 9.75 crore, as per the industry tracker website Sacnilk,. Which means that the total collections of the film stand at Rs 18.05 crore. In other words, the film is quickly marching towards becoming a proud member of the Rs. 20 crore club.

As for the trade pundits, they predict that the film should continue to see brisk business even in the days to come. They say that the film has got extreme word of mouth publicity from the audiences. Even though its Vicky Kaushal who can be easily termed as a ‘scene stealer’, the audiences simply just cannot get over the screen presence of Triptii Dimri and also the ‘good-boy-role’ of Ammy Virk, who made his Bollywood debut as an actor with this film.

What also works in the film’s favour are the special appearances by not just Ananya Panday, but also Neha Sharma in the film. Many were seen lauding the film’s makers for having kept a top secret about Ananya Panday and Neha Sharma. Above all, there is also Neha Dhupia in an extended cameo.

As for the film, it stars Triptii Dimri’s character becoming pregnant with the child of Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk. What all happens in the form of confusions in the life of the three actors is what forms the rest of the story.

While the film ‘Bad Newz’ has been directed by Anand Tiwari, it has been produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra and Tiwari.
