When the first look of Bachchhan Paandey was shared by makers, many reports did the round about the film’s story-line and the characters. Rumors suggested that Kriti Sanon will be playing the role of a journalist, who harbors the dreams of becoming a filmmaker, whereas Akshay Kumar will be seen as a gangster who aspires to be an actor. Well, the much awaited trailer of the action comedy is finally out so fans don’t need to guess anymore. So fasten your seatbelts because this 3 minute 41 seconds long clip, also starring Arshad Warsi , Jacqueline Fernandez and Pankaj Tripathi, gives you a brief glimpse of the exciting ride that Bachchhan Paandey will offer on 18thMarch.
Aspiring director Kriti tells her partner in crime Arshad that she wants to make a film on notorious gangster Bachchhan Paandey of Baghwa, the man with a stone eye as well as a stone heart. Arshad is initially hesitant but gives in when Kriti offers him the role of the second lead in her film, and reminds him how popular Munna Bhai’s Circuit became. Their extensive research leads them to the killer himself, who gives them a sneak peek of his menacing ways and horrific past. When they learn that he even killed his ex lover, the two decide to make a run for it. But is it too late?
While Kriti and Akshay have done a brilliant job of getting into the skin of their characters, Arshad is the real show stealer! He is an absolute natural when it comes to comedy, which is what he has proven once again with his performance in the trailer. As always, watching him and Pankaj is a delight. We do however wish that we got more than a glimpse of Jacqueline, but her story is definitely intriguing. Well, Bachchhan Paandey’s trailer seems like a winner and has definitely left a lasting impression on us. We can’t wait to see how the Farhad Samji directorial turns out on the big screen next month.
