Arjun Ashokan promises an entertainer with Sumathi Valavu first-look poster

Arjun Ashokan is all set to make a mark in 2025 with a host of films, across genres. Ennu Swantham Punyalan, Bromance and Sumathi Valavu are among the top titles on his slate of upcoming films. Among these, Sumathi Valavu is said to delve into themes of horror and fantasy. The makers recently unveiled the first-look poster of Sumathi Valavu. Read on to know more about this upcoming Malayalam film.

The first-look poster of Sumathi Valavu features leading man Arjun Ashokan with a bunch of youths and two boys. Arjun Ashokan is dressed in an ordinary shirt and dhoti, giving the impression that he is set to play a jovial village youth. The poster’s background appears to be that of a temple festival complete with elephants.

Sumathi Valavu cast

Apart from Arjun Ashokan, Sumathi Valavu has several notable names in its cast members, including Sidharth Bharathan, Balu Varghese, Saiju Kurup and Gokul Suresh.

Malavika Manoj is also said to be a part of the cast along with Sshivada, Nandu, Kottayam Ramesh, Shravan Mukesh, Bobby Kurian, Abhilash Pillai, Manoj KU, and Sija Rose.

Arjun Ashokan’s Sumathi Valavu is one of the much-awaited movies as it reunites director Vishnu Sasi Shankar and writer Abhilash Pillai, who had previously collaborated on the popular Malikappuram. Sumathi Valavu will also see two child actors Sreepathyan and Devananda, who were also part of Malikappuram.

A motion poster was released earlier, which spoke about a haunted place called Sumathi Valavu. The place is said to have been named thus due to the presence of the spirit of a Tamil woman Sumathi.

Meanwhile, Arjun Ashokan is all set to start off 2025 with a bang as his Ennu Swantham Punyalan is scheduled to release in theatres on January 10. The film also stars Anaswara Rajan and Balu Varghese in the lead roles.
