Aranmanai 4 Twitter Review: Sundar C delivers 'emotionally strong, power-packed commercial film'

Sundar C’s eagerly-awaited film, Aranmanai 4, has finally been released in theatres. And it has been getting an overwhelming response from audiences, who are calling the fourth installment of the horror drama series the "cleanest Sundar C" film. X (formerly Twitter) users feel that the Tamannaah Bhatia-starrer is an entertaining horror flick with no skin show.

Some users commented that Sundar C has redefined the horror drama series with great visual effects and screenplay. Earlier, when the film was announced, many questioned the director's decision to continue the series, which seemed to have lost its core after the second and third installments failed to click. However, taking everyone by surprise, the director has managed to pull off an "emotionally strong yet power-packed commercial film," according to the first day first show (FDFS) reviews. 

Many have praised Tamannaah's performance in the film and hailed her exhilarating screen presence, especially during sentimental scenes. One user commented, “Generally heroes get mass elevation in saving their loved ones. But here @tamannaahspeaks gets the elevation. The scene where she saves her kids with a smiling face is too good! As usual, when given the right character and scenes, she excels! (sic)”

The supporting cast members, which include Kovai Sarala, VTV Ganesh and Yogi Babu, are being praised for their "clean jokes", unlike the earlier installments that received flak for obscene dialogues. A user commented, “Surprisingly in #Aranmanai4 , there is no skin show (Achacho song comes only in post-credits) and double meaning dialogues. Welcome change (sic)”.

Directed by Sundar C, Aranmanai 4 marks the fourth installment of his popular mass horror drama series, which revolves around a family at a bungalow (or an 'aranmanai' in Tamil) that is haunted by supernatural spirits.

 While Sundar C played Ravi, a lawyer, in the first three parts of the franchise, he has a new role in Aranmanai 4. Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu and Manobala return as the supporting cast members. Aranmanai 4 has an ensemble star cast that includes Tamannaah Bhatia, Raashii Khanna, Santhosh Prathap, Ramachandra Raju, Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, K. S. Ravikumar, Jayaprakash, Delhi Ganesh, Rajendran and Singampuli. Popular Tamil composer Hip Hop Tamizha has scored the background music and original soundtracks for the film.
