Aranmanai 4 box office collection Day 2: Sundar C and Tamannaah Bhatia’s latest horror film, Aranmanai 4, which was released on May 3, has been creating a lot of buzz at the box office. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film continues to lure Tamil audiences to the theatres, thanks to its commercial appeal. On Day 2, the film continues to dominate the box office in South India. Here's how much the horror drama collected on Day 2 of its release: 

Aranmanai 4 box office: Tamannaah’s film makes Rs 10 crore on Day 2

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the fourth part of the popular horror series continues to dominate the box office numbers despite several other non-Tamil movie releases. Aranmanai 4 earned approximately Rs 6.25 crore on its second day, taking its total collection over Rs 10 crore. The film also enjoyed an average Tamil occupancy of 44.59%. The movie was initially scheduled to be released alongside Vishal’s Rathnam in April; however, the producers postponed the release date, which seems to have worked as the film has been making waves being a solo commercial release. By the end of this weekend, the movie is expected to collect even higher numbers.

Meanwhile, the box office competitors of Aranmanai 4 – Tovino Thomas-starrer Nadikar and the Sivakarthikeyan-backed children's film Kurangu Pedal – have been struggling to compete with Sundar C’s horror drama. Hence, it is safe to say that the Tamil commercial entertainer has ‘rescued’ Kollywood’s dull market, which had been struggling in recent months due to popular non-Tamil releases.

Sundar C had earlier mentioned that the decision to make Aranmanai 5 would depend entirely on the success of the fourth instalment. “Whether or not Aranmanai 5 will happen, solely depends on the success of Aranmanai 4. All of the films in the franchise are standalone movies, not continuations of the previous parts,” the actor said.

Aranmanai 4 plot revolves around a lawyer who is desperate to find the reason for his sister’s sudden demise. The movie stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Raashii Khanna, Santhosh Prathap, Ramachandra Raju, Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, KS Ravikumar, Jayaprakash, VTV Ganesh, Delhi Ganesh, Rajendran and Singampuli among others.
