Filmmaker AR Murugadoss is thrilled to be collaborating with seasoned Malayalam actor Biju Menon in his upcoming movie, which is yet to be titled. On Saturday, he welcomed Biju on board, sharing his excitement: "And now we have #BijuMenon onboard our #SKxARM. A talent I've always wanted to work with, glad it is finally happening with this film. Big days ahead with the entire team," the director said.

The filmmakers also unveiled a small video to commemorate Biju joining the set of the movie, which stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. Biju seems to be playing the role of a cop. The behind-the-scenes video shows Murugadoss directing Biju in a police station setup.

SK23 marks Murugadoss' first collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan, representing a significant leap in Sivakarthikeyan's career and signalling his uninterrupted growth as a star.

At the moment, not much is known about the movie's plot. Speculation is rife that this is the film Murugadoss initially wrote with Thalapathy Vijay in mind.

The film also stars Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead. Rukmini made a mark with her performance in the Kannada romantic tragedy Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, and she will be making her Tamil cinema debut with this film.

Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal is reuniting with Murugadoss for SK23 after a long gap. He previously played the main antagonist in Murugadoss' blockbuster Thuppakki (2012). The film is expected to be released in cinemas next year.

Meanwhile, Murugadoss is also working on his upcoming Hindi movie titled Sikandar, starring Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the lead role.
