Andhagan star Prasanth reacts to negativity around Thalapathy Vijay's The Greatest of All Time: 'Audience will be awestruck'

The upcoming Tamil movie The Greatest of All Time is one of the most anticipated films of 2024. It marks Thalapathy Vijay's maiden collaboration with director Venkat Prabhu, causing significant excitement among fans. However, it has recently become the subject of a sustained negative campaign, primarily due to the songs composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The filmmakers released three songs from The Greatest of All Time music album, but none have managed to meet the expectations of critics and fans. The third single, "Spark," in particular, sparked massive online trolling against the movie, with Vijay's de-aged look also coming under scrutiny.
Many complained that the de-aging effects were poor and didn't show Vijay at his best. The filmmakers have not yet responded to the controversy, adopting a 'wait and watch' approach to deal with the criticism surrounding the movie.
In a recent interview, Prasanth, who is promoting his upcoming movie Andhagan, revealed that the filmmakers have decided to let the movie speak for itself. "After the film's release, those who are saying negative things about the movie will be awestruck. The entire team is keeping quiet and not reacting to all comments. We will see you all on September 5," said Prasanth.
Prasanth's statement comes amid reports of Vijay praising Venkat Prabhu after watching a preview of The Greatest of All Time. According to these reports, Vijay was impressed with the final output and even expressed regret about his impending retirement, noting his desire to do more movies with Venkat.
The Greatest of All Time is a sci-fi movie being mounted on a large scale. Vijay will be seen in a double role, while Prasanth is also playing a key supporting role in the movie.
