Janhvi Kapoor, who was recently seen celebrating Christmas with her beau Shikhar Pahariya and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, took to social media to share her review of Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi starrer Amaran. The Tamil film, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, hit theatres in October this year and it went on to become a hit at the box office. It is based on the true-life story of Major Mukund Varadaraja and his wife Indhu Rebecca Varghese. The film received a lot of appreciation from the audience. Now, Janhvi has joined the bandwagon too. Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's film Amaran recently debuted on OTT and garnered love and appreciation from the viewers. Janhvi took to Instagram and showered praise on it. She went on to call it 'a magical, poignant and moving piece of cinema'. Sharing a picture of the leading duo, the actress wrote on her Instagram story, "Late to this but what a magical, poignant and moving piece of cinema. Amaran is based on the book titled India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes, penned by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. Major Mukund Varadaraja was a commissioned officer in the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment. He was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for his operation with the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion. The film became a commercial success, collecting over Rs 300 crore.

Janhvi was last seen in Devara with Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan. The film opened to mixed reviews but it still managed to perform well at the box office. Currently, she is busy shooting for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari alongside Varun Dhawan. It also stars Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, and Maniesh Paul. She also has Param Sundari with Sidharth Malhotra.
