Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's highly anticipated Pushpa 2: The Rule is gearing up for a wide release across India. So far, however, the filmmakers have shared very little footage from the sequel, which is set to hit theatres in less than three weeks.

According to industry sources, the trailer for Pushpa 2 will be unveiled on November 17.

Promotions have already kicked off, with Allu Arjun appearing on the popular talk show Unstoppable with NBK, hosted by veteran star Nandamuri Balakrishna. The fourth episode of the new season, featuring Arjun, will premiere on Aha on November 15.

With this appearance, Allu Arjun marks the start of a pan-India promotional campaign expected to intensify as the release date approaches. Notably, the team of Pushpa: The Rise invested minimal effort in promoting the first instalment in the North Indian states. Due to tight post-production schedules, director Sukumar couldn’t participate in promotions, and Allu Arjun, along with co-star Rashmika Mandanna, held only a few press conferences. Despite this, the film's strong buzz turned into a wave upon release in December 2020.

Pushpa 1 opened to packed theatres across South India, as expected, given Allu Arjun’s immense popularity in the region. Surprisingly, however, the film also drew large audiences in North India. It debuted with a gross of Rs. 3 crore at the Telugu box office on opening day and continued to perform well, even against stiff competition from Ranveer Singh’s cricket biopic 83. Industry sources reported that Pushpa 1 saw more footfalls than 83 and maintained significantly lower ticket prices. Quickly, Pushpa 1 became a cultural phenomenon, cementing itself as a blockbuster in Allu Arjun’s career.

With excitement at an all-time high, Allu Arjun and the rest of the cast and crew are expected to dedicate substantial time, energy, and resources to promote Pushpa 2 in North India. The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on December 5.
