Telugu superstar Allu Arjun kicked off the promotions for his highly anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule on Friday by appearing on the popular Telugu talk show Unstoppable with NBK, hosted by veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna and streaming on Aha. Known as the go-to platform for film promotions, the show recently featured Dulquer Salmaan and Suriya promoting Lucky Baskhar and Kanguva, respectively.
During the show, Allu Arjun opened up about the qualities he admires in some of India's most celebrated superstars.
When asked about his uncle, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun praised his courage. "I like his (Pawan's) courage very much. He's the most daring person I know personally," he said.
Rumours have long suggested a strained relationship between the two stars, fueled by recent remarks from Pawan that were interpreted as veiled criticism of Allu Arjun's portrayal in the Pushpa films.
Discussing Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun highlighted his resilience and love for cinema. "Everyone praises Mahesh Babu's looks. Beyond that, the quality I admire most is his resilience. His comeback after failures is truly inspirational. And he's a true lover of cinema who has elevated the status of Telugu cinema in his own way."
Speaking about Prabhas, Allu Arjun shared a heartfelt anecdote. "I always say this—he's a 6-foot gold. When he learned that I enjoy decorating Christmas trees, he sent me a box of exquisite Christmas decorations from Europe. Since we both love trees, I gifted him a plant, which has now grown into a big tree at his farmhouse."
When it came to Bollywood, Allu Arjun had high praise for Ranbir Kapoor. "Ranbir Kapoor is one of the finest actors in Bollywood. I love his performances very much," he said.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to hit theatres on December 5.
