    Acclaimed filmmaker Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine As Light, the winner of the Grand Prix award at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, is set to make its theatrical debut in limited screens across Kerala on September 21, 2024, this Saturday. The makers have announced that the film, titled Prabhayay Ninachathellam in Malayalam, will have a limited release in Kerala and will eventually be screened in other major cities soon.

    Telugu actor Rana Daggubati's production company, Spirit Media, has secured the exclusive distribution rights for the Malayalam-Hindi film in India. The film is an official Indo-French co-production between India's Chalk and Cheese Films and France's Petit Chaos. Zico Maitra (Chalk and Cheese Films) and Ranabir, who also served as the film's cinematographer, are the Indian producers involved in the project.

    Starring Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, and Chhaya Kadam, the film follows the journey of two women from Kerala pursuing their dreams in Mumbai. It has garnered attention for its authentic storytelling and cultural significance. The story centers on Prabha (Kusruti), a nurse in Mumbai whose life spirals into chaos after receiving a rice cooker from her estranged husband. Divya Prabha portrays Anu, her roommate and colleague, who struggles to find privacy in the bustling city to spend time with her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Prabha's close friend Parvati (Kadam), a widow, is being forced out of her home by property developers.
