Akshay Kumar surprises Prithviraj co-star Manushi Chhillar with a birthday cake; begins promotions post recovery

The gorgeous Manushi Chhillar , who was crowned Miss World 2017, is all set to make her acting debut in Bollywood with the upcoming film Prithviraj , opposite Khiladi Akshay Kumar . Helmed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the historical action drama will arrive in theatres on 3rd June. Well, today the beauty has kick-started the promotional spree of her first film with her co-star. Akshay had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month, but has now recovered and joined Manushi on set a few hours ago.

As most of us know, Manushi celebrated her 25th birthday on 14th May. Akshay could not join her because he had contracted coronavirus, but to make up for it he surprised the beauty with a cake on set today. They later posed for the paparazzi right before they started shooting for the special episode of Dance India Dance L'il Masters. While Akshay looked dapper in a black tuxedo, his co-star was glamorous as ever in a breathtaking yellow ensemble. She looked radiant! Akshay even knelt down while holding her hand in his, making fans go aww.

Akshay will be playing the role of Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan in the much awaited film whereas Manushi will be seen opposite him as princess Sanyogita. Well, even before her debut film has released, the beauty has already completed the shoot of her next Bollywood project. Titled The Great Indian Family, the comedy stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead and has been helmed by filmmaker Vijay Krishna Acharya. Like Prithviraj, The Great Indian Family is also backed by Yash Raj Films .
