The team behind the Ajith-starrer road action thriller recently announced that dubbing work for the film has started with a puja ceremony to mark the occasion. Actor Arav was reportedly the first to begin dubbing, and he is said to have a significant role in the film. The production house Lyca Productions shared photos from the dubbing studio and wrote, “VIDAAMUYARCHI dubbing began with a pooja ceremony today! #VidaaMuyarchi #EffortsNeverFail.” This update has excited fans who are eagerly waiting for the film.

Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the film is an official remake of the 1997 cult classic Hollywood film Breakdown and revolves around a husband’s desperate attempt to find his kidnapped wife. The film stars Ajith, Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and Arav in key roles. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music, while Nirav Shah cranked the camera. The movie’s OTT rights have been acquired by Netflix.
The makers are yet to announce a release date officially, though there is speculation that Vidaamuyarchi may be set for a Pongal 2025 release.
