Fans of Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar are eagerly waiting for the teaser of his highly anticipated film Vidaamuyarchi. Rumours are circulating that the teaser might be attached to Superstar Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan, which is set to release on October 10. While no official confirmation has been made, the buzz around the teaser’s potential unveiling has sparked excitement among Ajith’s fanbase.
Originally, Vidaamuyarchi was expected to hit theatres around Diwali, but unforeseen production delays have forced Lyca Productions to reconsider the release date. Industry insiders report that production was halted for a couple of months due to financial challenges faced by the studio, following the underperformance of some of its previous big-budget ventures. With Lyca Productions also juggling Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan, the company struggled to manage both high-profile projects simultaneously and decided to temporarily pause work on Vidaamuyarchi.
The film, which is now in its final post-production phase, remains one of the most eagerly awaited Tamil films. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, known for his thriller Thadam, Vidaamuyarchi features a star-studded cast that includes Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, and Regina Cassandra. Most of the movie was filmed in Azerbaijan, but various hurdles, including financial setbacks, delayed the completion of the shoot.
For Ajith fans, the wait has been long. His last movie, Thunivu, was released in January 2023, and the delays surrounding Vidaamuyarchi have only intensified the anticipation. However, with production now back on track, the film is rumoured to be eyeing a Pongal 2025 release if further delays do not occur.
Ajith is currently busy shooting for his other movie, Good Bad Ugly. The production is taking place in Spain, and the film is written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran. Good Bad Ugly promises to be a fun film, with Ajith portraying a quirky character.
