After RRR, Alia Bhatt bags another film with SS Rajamouli opposite THIS South superstar
Well, earlier there were reports that Alia is upset with Rajamouli for the brief screen space she has been allotted in the final cut of RRR. Even, Alia has deleted a few posts related to RRR that added fuel to the fire. But later, she put rumours to rest with a clarification post on Instagram.
After tasting success with her South debut movie RRR, Alia Bhatt is all set to take forward her association with ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli. Reportedly, the actress has signed the director’s upcoming next SSMB29 in which she will be cast opposite mega south superstar Mahesh Babu .
The film critic Umair Sandhu has confirmed the news with his tweet that read, “Officially Confirmed! #AliaBhatt finally signed #SSRajamouli next flick with #MaheshBabu! #SSMB29. He also mentioned that the shooting will start after pregnant Alia delivers her first child. For those unaware, Alia is expecting her first baby with her husband Ranbir Kapoor. She is in the final leg of her third trimester and will soon be embracing motherhood in the coming months.

But later, she put rumours to rest with a clarification post on Instagram. “The only reason I’m bothering to clarify this is because Rajamouli Sir and the team have put in years of effort and energy to bring this beautiful film to life and I refuse to let any misinformation around the film and experience slide," read an excerpt of her post. Well, with the latest news of their collaboration, it has become more clear that there are no issues between them.
Talking about SSMB29, SS Rajamouli had said that the upcoming movie will be kind of classic Hollywood movies such as James Bond and Indiana Jones but with Indian elements. "My next film with Mahesh Babu will be a globetrotting action adventure. It’s going to be a kind of James Bond or Indiana Jones film with Indian roots," he was quoted as saying by Pinkvilla.
Meanwhile, Alia is on a roll. She is also making her international debut with Heart of Stone alongside Gal Gadot. On the Bollywood front, she was last seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra which also marked her first film with her husband and Ranbir Kapoor. She will next be seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, and Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif.
