Allu Arjun in Pushpa 2
Telugu superstar Allu Arjun is currently basking in the success of his latest release, Pushpa 2: The Rule, which is rewriting box office history. Even before the craze around the blockbuster settles down, news about Allu Arjun's next project has already surfaced.
Producer Naga Vamsi of Sitara Entertainments has confirmed that he will be bankrolling Allu Arjun's next movie with director Trivikram Srinivas. "Once Allu Arjun is free of all Pushpa 2 commitments, we will start the production process. The movie will go on the floors in March 2025," he told Gulte.
Naga Vamsi suggested that the upcoming project would rival the scale and grandeur of SS Rajamouli's films. "It may seem like an arrogant statement, but this is a genre even Rajamouli has not touched yet. The world that Trivikram is creating has never been done before. It's a very ambitious project for us," he added.
The producer also revealed that mounting this Allu Arjun starrer will require scaling back on other productions. Describing it as a "dream project," he expressed confidence that it would surprise audiences worldwide.
Naga Vamsi previously produced Allu Arjun's 2020 blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, which was also helmed by Trivikram. That film became the biggest hit in Allu Arjun's career until the release of Pushpa: The Rise.
Meanwhile, Pushpa 2 is on the brink of creating history, fast approaching the ₹1000 crore mark at the box office. The film debuted last week, raking in over ₹290 crore during its opening weekend, setting a new benchmark. By the end of its first five days, the movie had already grossed over ₹920 crore. Written and directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil.
