Adipurush box office day 1: Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer expected to have a massive opening of Rs 85 crore

Finally, the much-anticipated Adipurush has arrived in theatres today, i.e. June 16, 2023. Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer is mounted on a huge budget of approximately Rs 700 crore. According to the early estimates, the first-day collection is expected to be phenomenal. The footfalls would likely be huge, considering the movie is based on the Hindu mythology Ramayana. And the star power of South sensation Prabhas would also pull the audience to the theatres.

While trade experts expect that the southern states may contribute Rs 55 crore and the Hindi belt would earn Rs 30 crore on the opening day. It is likely that the film will emerge as the biggest day 1 opener for an Indian film in 2023, surpassing Pathaan which raked around Rs 106 crores on the opening day. Reportedly, more than 3 lakh tickets are sold out for this movie and cine-goers are buying tickets in bulk for school kids or privileged children.

Earlier, trade analyst Sumit Kadel tweeted, “Here’s my BOX OFFICE PREDICTION for #Adipurush Friday - Hindi - ₹ 30 Cr ( +- 2 Cr ) NBOC Telugu + other Langs - ₹ 60 Cr ( +- 10 cr ) NBOC Day - 1 ₹ 80 - 100 cr Nett ( All langs) Day 1 Worldwide Gross- ₹ 120- 140 cr All set to take HISTORIC opening. If prediction comes out to be true, Adipurush may turn out to be Prabhas’ third Rs 100 crore worldwide opener after Baahubali 2 and Saaho.

Meanwhile, the film will see Prabhas in the role of Raghava, while Kriti Sanon plays his wife Janaki. Saif Ali Khan portrays the antagonist role of Lankesh and Sunny Singh features as Lakshmana. Backed by T-series and Retrophile, the film also has Devdatta Nage, Sonal Chauhan, and Trupti Toradmal as part of the cast.
