Aashiqui 3: After Ranbir Kapoor, Triptii Dimri to romance Kartik Aaryan; here’s everything we know

In the last 5 years, with her incredible performances and versatility, actress Triptii Dimri has proven that she’s a force to reckon with. In Bulbbul and Qala she showed us how she can carry any project solely on her shoulders, whereas in her latest release Animal she managed to overshadow several co-stars despite having a limited screen time. Well, after winning hearts with her sizzling chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial, Triptii is now gearing up for some on-screen ‘Aashiqui’ with Bollywood heartthrob and janta ka superstar Kartik Aaryan.

That’s right! According to a report shared by Pinkvilla, Triptii has been roped in as the female lead opposite Kartik in Anurag Basu’s much-awaited directorial Aashiqui 3. A source was quoted saying, “Triptii has been the talk of the town following the historic success of Animal and the makers feel that she would set the screen on fire with Kartik Aaryan. The conversations have been on for quite some time and the makers have now locked her as the female lead.” Well, we can already imagine the sparks which are going to fly in theatres!

The source further stated that Kartik is quite excited about exploring his intense side after winning hearts with his back to back rom coms, a genre he has truly aced. The two actors will reportedly begin workshops soon and are expected to take Aashiqui 3 on floors in the first quarter of 2024. A happy new year indeed! Apart from this exciting project, Triptii has Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam alongside Vicky Kaushal in her kitty. Kartik, on the other hand, will return to the silver screen with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 on Diwali next year.
