Aamir Khan offers to find his replacement after walking out of the Hindi remake of Champions?
Aamir Khan has reportedly walked of the remake of the Spanish film Champions.
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has dropped of what was reportedly supposed to be his next big project after Laal Singh Chaddha. After delivering two mega flops in a row, Aamir seems to being weighing his options carefully and while he was reported to be starring a in the Hindi remake of the Spanish film Champions, he was supposedly in two minds about doing the film.
According to an ETimes report, the shoot of the remake was to start with Aamir in September with R.S. Prasanna helming the film. However, the makers of the project got no concrete answer from Aamir even after he returned from his U.S. vacation after the release of Laal Singh Chaddha.
The Spanish comedy which released in 2018 is about a basketball coach which is sentenced to community service and has to train a team of players with learning disabilities. According to the report, the Hindi remake of the film was to go on floors in September and filmmaker R.S. Prasanna confirmed to the publication that there has been a delay.
It has been claimed that the actor was in two minds about doing the film and has informed the filmmaker that he will not be a part of the project. Aamir has supposedly offered to help the makers by referring the project to other actors.
While Aamir is yet to formally confirm if he’s doing Champions or not, all eyes are fixed on the superstar’s next project after his remake of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump, Laal Singh Chaddha tanked the box office despite fairly positive reviews. The movie wrapped up its lifetime collections with just Rs. 60 crores and has already released on Netflix despite the original plan of releasing the film digitally six months after the theatrical release of Laal Singh Chaddha.
Prior to Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir had delivered a disaster with Thugs Of Hindostan in 2018.
