'83: Ranveer Singh charged 20 crores to play Kapil Dev, will take a share from the profits as well?

The audience is looking forward to watching ' 83 this Friday. The film had already been screened a few times for celebs and the media and the early reviews look promising. Ranveer Singh will portray cricketer Kapil Dev in the film about the historic '83 World Cup win. Now, it has been learnt that the actor took a hefty paycheque too to play his part!

If a report in Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, then Ranveer has taken home 20 crores INR to play Kapil Dev in this Kabir Khan film. Not just that, he would also be taking a share of the profit that the film will make. A source quoted by the portal revealed, “Ranveer Singh has fast become a rather bankable name when it comes to box office success. Given his recent track record, and of course, his ever-growing fan following it comes as no surprise that the Bollywood actor would charge in double-figure. For 83, Ranveer has charged the makers a cool Rs. 20 cr. Besides charging Rs. 20 cr. for the film, Ranveer Singh has also requested a share of the profits. While details of what his share will be exactly are unknown, rest assured it will amount to a neat sum once the film releases.”

Well, Ranveer Singh has also put in a lot of hard work for the film. In fact, he has also recently opened up about his long practice sessions to get the technicalities of Kapil Dev perfectly.
