Yudhra Box Office Collection Day 2: Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malavika Mohanan starrer witnesses a dip

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malavika Mohanan untied for the first time for a film titled Yudhra. Helmed by Ravi Udyawar and backed by Excel Entertainment, Yudhra was released on September 20 in theatres. Talking about the box office collection, Siddhant and Malavika starrer witnessed a dip on day two. After having a successful opening day, the film only earned Rs 1.50 crore on day two of its release.

According to Sacnilk.com, Yudhra collected Rs 1.50 crore on Saturday (September 21). The film was released on September 20 and earned Rs 4.50 crore on its opening day. With an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 11.40% on Saturday, the film benefited from National Cinema Day on September 20 with tickets priced at Rs 99.

The film competed with Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 which is continuing to mint money even after four weeks after its release. It benefited from the lower-priced tickets on National Cinema Day.

Yudhra's cast and crew

Apart from Siddhant and Malavika, Yudhra also stars Gajraj Rao, Ram Kapoor, Raj Arjun, and Raghav Juyal in important roles. The film is backed by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their banner Excel Entertainment and is written by Shridhar Raghavan and Farhan.

In the film, Siddhant plays the titular role of Yudhra who is on a mission to complete his father’s unfinished business with the help of Ram Kapoor’s character. In the process, he falls in love with Nikhat (played by Malavika Mohanan). The Kill actor Raghav Juyal essays the role of a villain in the film and is the right hand of a drug mafia.

Yudhra marks the Bollywood debut of South Indian actress Malavika Mohanan, who was last seen in a Tamil film titled Thangalaan. Yudhra is the first film in Siddhant’s acting career where he plays the titular role. The actor has earlier featured in films with ensemble star casts like Gully Boy, Bunty Aur Babli 2, Phone Bhoot, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, and Gehraiyaan. The actor made his acting debut with Ranveer Singh's Gully Boy where he played the role of MC Sher and received much critical praise for his performance.
