Yudhra Box Office collection day 1: Siddhant Chaturvedi, Malavika Mohanan starrer takes off to a decent start; makes Rs. 4.50 crores

Years ago, there were a few films which were made which had the protagonist a name and a face to watch out for. The actor was none other than Amitabh Bachchan, who had got tagged as the angry young man keeping into consideration the films that he did. Films wherein the hero gets ignited like fire! Well... that is exactly how the leading man of this week’s release Yudhra is all about- totally volatile. What remains to be seen is whether Siddhant Chaturvedi, the leading man of Yudhra, will be able to carry forward the legacy of being the ‘new age angry young man’!

Even though the film has got mixed responses from the movie critics, one just cannot deny the fact that Siddhant Chaturvedi's performance has been appreciated to the skies. As for the box office collection of the film, it had opened to a fairly good start.

As per the industry tracker Sacnilk, the Siddhant Chaturvedi starrer Yudhra has managed to collect over Rs. 4.50 crores at the Box Office on its first day of release. What has also added to the film’s collection is the fact that, yesterday was the National Cinema Day, wherein the tickets were being sold at around Rs. 100. This occasion of National Cinema Day not just gave the film a big boss, but also, has really upped the box office collections of Yudhra. It's being said that around 50,000 tickets had been sold in the multiplexes.

And since today and tomorrow are the two days of the weekend, one can expect the film to pick up majorly through word-of-mouth publicity. What can also work in the favour of Yudhra is that, besides Stree 2, there is no any other competition. And also, the fact remains that, most of the cinegoers have already seen the Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Yadav starrer.

Made at a moderate budget of (reportedly) around Rs. 50 crores, the Ravi Udyawar directed action flick, has been produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the prestigious banner of Excel Entertainment. Besides Siddhant Chaturvedi, the film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Raghav Juyal, Gajraj Rao, Ram Kapoor, Raj Arjun and Shilpa Shukla in all important roles.

What remains to be seen is that, will Yudhra establish itself at the box office and also Siddhant Chaturvedi as the new age angry young man in the days to come. Watch this space for updates and developments.
