'You need to move on' : Raveena Tandon reveals she is still good friends with ex-boyfriend Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar had a reunion with actress and ex-girlfriend Raveena Tandon at an award function recently. Raveena was called to the stage to give out the award to Akshay wherein they also shared a warm hug. The duo were also spotted engaging in a conversation while seated together at the occasion. Now, the actress has broken her silence on still maintaining a cordial relationship with her ex.

The actress said that Akshay Kumar is one of the strongest pillars of the industry and she thinks very highly of him. Raveena Tandon revealed to Etimes, “Ajay Devgn and I did six seven films. Sunny Deol and I shared a great rapport; we were a hit pair. Just recently too, we have been offered a film together. Akshay and I are still friends. There's a journey in everyone's life. You need to respect it and move on. I think of him very highly. I think he is one of the strongest pillars of our industry."

For the unversed, Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar were in a very serious relationship with each other and were also engaged in the early 90s. However, their relationship soon hit a rough patch and they separated soon after. While Akshay married actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna, Raveena tied the knot with businessman Anil Thadani. In an earlier interview this year with the same publication, Raveena had said, “We were a hit pair, during Mohra, and even now, when we bump into each other socially, we all meet, we all chat. Everyone moves on. Girls have been changing their boyfriends every week in colleges, but one engagement that has broken is still stuck in my head, I don’t know why. Everyone moves on, people have divorces, they move on, what’s the big deal?”
