'You are not fit for sita maa': Adipurush star Kriti Sanon gets trolled for comparing herself to Sita in her latest post

Kriti Sanon is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming epic drama, Adipurush. The actress on Monday shared two pictures on her Instagram, one of herself in the character role of Janaki and another throwback photo of her mother Geeta Sanon. The first picture she captioned as, “Sita Maa, My Janaki’ and ‘Geeta Maa, My Jaan’ to her mother’s picture. Alongside the post, she wrote, “My Janaki and My Jaan.. ♥️♥️🥰(Swipe)@geeta_sanon i love you my prettiest woman!”

As soon as her post surfaced, her fans spammed the comment section with compliments. A fan wrote, “Sita Maa ka naya roop...janki ....iss Sadi ki sabse best female actor .....hats off.” The second fan said, “Both maa are too cute,” “Now we know the secret of your beauty, “added another. On the other hand, a section of netizens left harsh comments. One netizen stated, “Tu kaha se sita maa ho gaye kuch bhi.” The second user slammed her saying, “Please don't compare yourself with Sita maa🙏🏻” The third user commented, “Ramyan ke 5 shlok bina dekhe padh do pahle.” “Kissbaaz ko sita Mata ka chritra sobha nhi deta....., “ read a comment. Written and directed by Om Raut, Adipurush is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. Produced by T-Series and Retrophiles, the film features Prabhas as Lord Ram and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana. The film is set to arrive in theatres on June 16, 2023. Talking about playing the role of Janaki, Kriti said, "It was indeed a challenging role, and I felt a tremendous sense of responsibility to do justice to the character of Sitaji. To be able to portray a character like Sita is a privilege that doesn't come by often in an actor's career."

Meanwhile, Kriti is all set to turn producer with an OTT movie as per reports. She has greenlit a script and will also star in it. Apart from this, the actress is currently busy shooting for her next, The Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu. She also has Ganapath: Part 1 co-starring Tiger Shroff and Amitabh Bachchan in the pipeline.
