Yaariyan 2 Teaser: Divya Khosla, Meezaan Jafri and Pearl V Puri starrer is a confusing tale of love and friendship

After leaving fans intrigued with the first-look poster, the makers of Yaariyan 2 unveiled the much-awaited teaser of the coming-of-age drama. Featuring Divya Khosla Kumar, Pearl V Puri and Meezaan Jafri in lead roles, the film appears to be a roller coaster ride of emotions in relationships of love and friendship.

The two-minute-twenty-two-seconds-long clip sees Meezaan narrating the tale of friendship with his cousins played by Divya and Pearl V Puri in the film. It began from being family to friends and then best friends. Then followed their parallel love stories their love interests played by Warina Hussain, Priya Varrier, Anaswara Ranjan and Yash Dasgupta and their pursuit of heartbreaks. The short clip also sees the trio’s friendship bond hitting the rock due to some unforeseen circumstances.

Sharing the teaser on his Instagram handle, Meezaan wrote, “Get ready to go on a journey of family to friends, friends to best friends & best friends picking us up in sad times! It’s time to witness the yaari of #Yaariyan2Teaser out now.” Soon after, the netizens left their first reactions in the comment section. “The super obsessed and opportunist divya cringy khosla kumar,” reacted a user. The second user said, “Bangalore days ka remake.” “Sooo excited! Love the teaser sm! Literally the acting is on point!,” stated another user. “Wtf is this bruhh. I was literally so excited for this only for @meezaanj This trailer doesn't even make sense like it's bleh,”added another.

Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, Yaariyan 2 is the second instalment of the 2014 film of the same name. The first movie was directed by Divya Khosla Kumar and starred Himanshu Kohli and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles. Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Aayush Maheshwari, the upcoming film is set to hit the theatres on October 20, 2023.
