Why was Alia Bhatt anxious about revealing daughter Raha Kapoor’s face to the world?

Jigra actress Alia Bhatt is a doting mother to daughter Raha Kapoor as the mother-daughter duo is often papped traveling together. The actress gave birth to Raha in 2022 and revealed her face to the world in December 2023. Speaking about revealing Raha’s face to the world, Alia stated that she was feeling anxious when her husband, Ranbir Kapoor offered to get a picture clicked with her at the Kapoor Christmas lunch.

During a conversation with actress Kareena Kapoor Khan on What Women Want, Alia spoke about balancing her personal and professional life while managing her daughter, Raha Kapoor’s schedule. In the same conversation, the actress spoke about feeling anxious before clicking a picture with Raha before the annual Kapoor family Christmas lunch in December 2023. 

Alia said that earlier she had a very different feeling surrounding Raha being papped. The actress added that she did not want the toddler to be on Instagram or be part of a reel. Speaking further about this, Alia revealed that there was one moment, before the annual Kapoor family Christmas lunch in 2023 when she was driving with her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor and Raha and the actor offered to get a picture clicked with the toddler. 

Alia stated that she was not sure of Ranbir’s suggestion and revealed that she was feeling anxious about the same. The actress added that she is clinically diagnosed with anxiety and before every moment she thinks about the worst-case scenarios. Alia added that Ranbir understood her emotions and talked about her worst fear surrounding the situation. She revealed that the couple talked about it all the way from Bandra to Juhu and finally decided on revealing her face because that is their life and she did not want people to think that they can’t see her face. She said that it was never the intention but did not want it to be a whole separate thing. 

In the end, Alia said that the moment happened, and it was such a cute moment where Raha was holding both their faces. Speaking further, Alia said that she still feels a little uncomfortable when Raha gets papped because she does not want them to flash at her eyes but realised that there is only love for her.

On the work front, Alia recently graced the silver screen with her action-packed adventure film Jigra, alongside actor Vedang Raina. The Vasan Bala directorial film hit the theatres on October 11. The actress will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War and YRF’s Alpha.
