When Shah Rukh Khan revealed the origin story of his signature ‘spread arms’ pose
There are many charming qualities that Shah Rukh Khan is gifted with. But one thing that stands out from the rest and makes our heart beat faster is his signature pose.
One of the biggest superstars of the Hindi film industry, Shah Rukh Khan is a man loved by people all over the world no matter what language they speak. He is someone who taught us how to love, and made us fall head over heels for him each time he shined on-screen. In his magnificent career which spans over 33 long years, SRK has given us several characters, films and romantic scenes to gush over. Well, another thing that Bollywood’s Baadshah gave us is his signature pose where he spreads his arms like the hero he is.
In a flashback scene of Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan’s character had stated that he was the one who inspired Shah Rukh’s signature pose much before he began his acting journey. While SRK’s cameo became a hit, the story was obviously not true. So when did the superstar actually invent a signature pose? Well, a few years ago, during his appearance on India TV mega conclave TV Ka Dum, Shah Rukh had shared the origin story of his beloved pose.
Talking to hosts Charul Malik and Maniesh Paul, SRK had revealed, “I was trying to perfect a dance step on a film set with choreographer Saroj Khan. It was the first time I realised that I cannot dance. Lazily, I just stood on my place and spread my arms and Saroj Ji was like ‘Wow’. So that’s how that signature step was invented ACCIDENTALLY.” So there we have it!
Today on his 57th birthday, SRK received lots of love from his millions of fans. As a return gift, the superstar finally dropped the much anticipated teaser of his next film Pathaan. Also starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, the action entertainer marks his comeback to the silver screen after a 5 year long self-imposed sabbatical. We can’t wait to see him in and as Pathaan on 25th January 2023.
