Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone is one of the biggest action heroes in the world. The legend who has inspired many actors across the globe is also the reason why John Abraham got into movies in the first place. But did you know that the Hollywood star was once left stumped by John’s jacked physique?

Reportedly, a filmmaker had plans to remake Stallone’s Rambo with John Abraham over a decade ago. When Sylvester Stallone was asked about this in an interview in 2013, the Hollywood star apparently said that he was flattered to hear Bollywood’s plans of doing a movie like Rambo.

The Hollywood star was also shown a picture of John who was then supposed to lead the project and Sylvester was left might impressed despite not having seen any of John’s previous films. He reportedly said, “Actually, he's built better than I ever was'.

John also made a mention of flattering compliment in an interview where he said that he considered the Hollywood star ‘god’ and actually decided to become an actor after watching Sylvester Stallone in Rocky IV.

In an interview in 2016, John recalled how he wanted to get physique like Sylvester Stallone after watching his films like Rocky 4, Hearts on Fire, No Easy Way Out when he was in college. He then spoke about his hero complimenting him and said in an interview AMDB, “Later when I worked in films, there was a scene when I was hanging out of a bus in the film ‘Shootout at Wadala’. Someone took a picture and showed it to Stallone and asked him if he knew this guy. Stallone politely said I don’t know him, but he’s more jacked than I’ve ever been. For me it was a huge compliment. For me Stallone is God, and I worship his attitude, it was so refreshing. For me it’s the reason I got into films.”

John will be seen facing off Shah Rukh Khan in Pathaan next. The movie arrives in cinemas in January 2023.
