Right from the time the film Welcome To The Jungle was announced, there was a constant buzz which was surrounding the film. In other words, the film was making news and for mixed reasons. While on one hand, the film saw the film being refused by two of the key actors – Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor, the two rock solid names who were featured in the film’s prequel Jungle.
The latest buzz about the film was that (as per a source-based news in India Today), that, ‘Jio Studios, which was initially associated with the production, had withdrawn its support and that they were no more associated with this movie. The said article also said that they had backed out a couple of months back. It was this news which triggered a big buzz that the film might just not be able to see the light of the day.
On his part, the film’s director Ahmed Khan, in a media statement, not just rubbished the rumors surrounding the film, but also said that, “There is no truth to these rumours. The film is on track and we are kickstarting our next leg of the marathon schedule internationally from October for which my technical team has already left for the first recce."
The media statement also mentioned that the film Welcome To The Jungle had already wrapped up its marathon schedule in Mumbai and Kashmir in the month of August. It also added that the international marathon schedule of the said film will now be beginning in the month of October.
As for the film, while it is being directed by Ahmed Khan, it is being produced by Firoz A. Nadiadwallah and is being presented by Base Industries Group. The film’s star cast consists of an ensemble cast comprising of Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani and others.
