Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas won everyone's hearts with her appearance in the spy-thriller series, Citadel. She was seen alongside Richard Madden in it. After the series was well received, the preparations for season two are in full swing. It seems like Priyanka has already started shooting for the second season and her Instagram story is proof. Today, September 16, she shared a video of herself going to the sets of Citadel season 2.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas begins shooting for Citadel Season 2

The actress took to her Instagram story and revealed that she has begun shooting for the second season of the most awaited series, Citadel. Sharing a video of herself going for the shoot, Priyanka wrote, ‘Hello Citadel S2. 5:39 AM.’

Before season 2 drops on Amazon Prime Video, the spin-off series of the spy universe titled Citadel: Honey Bunny and Citadel: Diana will make their world premiere.

Speaking about season 2 of Citadel, Angela Russo-Otstot, executive producer and AGBO’s Chief Creative Officer, said in a statement, “The second season will build on the intense action and complex characters introduced in the first season, promising even more thrilling twists and intrigue.” She added, “Also, the recently announced Citadel: Diana and Citadel: Honey Bunny, from Italy and India respectively, further expand the storytelling and scope born from the world of Citadel.”

Season two will feature new cast members including Merle Dandridge, Rahul Kohli, Michael Trucco, Jack Reynor, Matt Berry, and Gabriel Leone with Richard Madden, Priyanka, Stanley Tucci, and Lesley Manville reprising their roles.

Released in 2023, Citadel showcases the agents of Citadel and their struggles after an evil rival named Multicore tried to destroy them. The series featured Priyanka as an elite spy Nadia Sinh opposite the Game of Thrones star Richard Madden, who starred as Mason Kane.

David Weil will work as the showrunner, while Joe Russo, executive producer for the first season, will direct episodes of season 2. The show is executive produced by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Scott Nemes for AGBO.

Apart from Citadel season 2, Priyanka will also be seen in The Heads of State. She recently completed shooting for The Bluff where she will be seen playing the role of a female pirate.
