Ajith Kumar at Dubai Autodrome
Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's fascination with motorsports is no secret. Whenever he gets a chance, he never misses an opportunity to brush up on his fast-driving skills. Recently, in Dubai, he visited the Dubai Autodrome to take some of the fastest cars for a spin.
Ajith drove a Formula One car at the Dubai Autodrome, an FIA-sanctioned motorsport complex. If you didn't know, Ajith has competed in a professional racing series. He participated in the British Formula 3 National Class in 2004 and the FIA Formula Two Championship in 2010.
Ajith's manager, Suresh Chandra, shared a video of Ajith enjoying driving fast cars on the track. From selecting the car he wanted to drive to masterfully navigating the racecourse, the video gives us an exhilarating experience of Ajith on the track. He also drove a stock car, another type of racing car. These cars may resemble family sedans, but they are heavily modified for racing. Ajith can be seen driving at 225 kph on the speed track. "AK The Speed Merchant," Suresh Chandra captioned the video.
It seems Ajith enjoyed his night out at the racetrack on June 21 before joining the sets of his upcoming movie Vidaa Muyarchi in Azerbaijan.
The production of Vidaa Muyarchi hit a snag after the producers, Lyca Productions, developed a serious cash crunch. With multiple big-budget movies in the making, the producers were forced to put the production of Vidaa Muyarchi on hold for a while to raise the required funds.
According to reports, the production is in its last leg, and the filmmakers have planned to complete it in a single stretch. It is said that the producers aim to bring Vidaa Muyarchi to cinemas during the Deepavali holiday. However, an official confirmation on this is awaited.
