War 2: Kiara Advani gives a Wake Up Sid twist as she celebrates ‘Holy Sunday’ with Ayan Mukerji sans Hrithik Roshan on set

Bollywood actress Kiara Advani is all set to feature alongside actor Hrithik Roshan in the upcoming action-adventure film War 2. The first installment featured Hrithik, Tiger Shroff, and Vaani Kapoor in key roles. It enjoyed rave reviews from the audience and critics alike. The shooting of War 2 is in full swing and the excitement around it is sky-high. On October 6, Kiara, who has teamed up with Hrithik for the first time, took to social media and shared a selfie with War 2 director Ayan Mukerji.

Kiara took to her Instagram story and shared a picture of herself, along with Ayan Mukerji, celebrating Holy Sunday on the sets of War 2. In the picture, the duo is seen twinning in white outfits. While Kiara has donned a minimal white kurta, paired with a matching dupatta, Ayan is wearing a white shirt and a matching scarf.

Kiara captioned the picture, “Holy Sunday” and used the song Iktara from Ayan’s directorial debut film Wake Up Sid in the background.

War 2 is one of the highly anticipated films of 2025, featuring Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, and Anil Kapoor. War 2 is a part of YRF’s spy universe that also includes Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3, and the upcoming film Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh.

While War was directed by Siddharth Anand, the sequel film is helmed by Ayan Mukerji. The film is scheduled to hit the big screens on August 14, 2025, a day before Independence Day. The film will also feature South Star Jr. NTR in a crucial role.

The announcement for War 2 was made by a post-credit scene in Tiger 3 where Hrithik returned as Kabir. Speaking about War 2, a report by Pinkvilla revealed, “Ayan Mukerji and Aditya Chopra have meticulously worked on the script of War 2 to differentiate it from all that has been done in the YRF Spy Universe till date. War 2 will be an action spectacle like never before, and as suggested by the post-credit sequence of Kabir, this one will be a little darker and gritty.”
