    The Indian cricket team has become the two-time World Champions after they won the T20 World Cup against South Africa recently. The marvelous victory spread joy across the country with fans beaming with happiness. After the victory event, star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli shared pictures of himself and his team holding the World Cup trophy on his Instagram handle which has become the most liked Instagram post in India, surpassing Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra’s wedding pictures which were the most liked post until now.

    Taking to Instagram, Virat Kohli shared pictures of himself and his team celebrating the World Cup victory. He captioned the post, “Couldn’t have dreamt of a better day than this. God is great and I bow my head in gratitude. We finally did it 🇮🇳 🇮🇳. jai hind.” This Instagram post has now become the most liked post in India, dethroning the wedding pictures of Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra.

    The Bollywood stars got married in 2023 in a lavish wedding in Rajasthan the pictures of which were posted on social media. The post soon became the most-liked picture on Instagram. Before this, Alia Bhatt’s picture with Ranbir Kapoor was the most liked post with 13.19 million likes. 

    Virat Kohli has a fan following of 269 million on Instagram, becoming one of the most followed celebrities in India.

    Kohli’s recent Instagram post for his wife and actress Anushka Sharma is making headlines after he claimed that the World Cup victory is as much hers as it is his. Sharing a picture of himself with Anushka, Virat wrote, "None of this would remotely be possible without you my love. You keep me humble, and grounded and you always say it how it is with absolute honesty. I couldn’t be more grateful for you. This victory is as much yours as it’s mine. Thank you and I love you for being YOU @anushkasharma.” 

    Indian Cricket team won the T20 World Cup after defeating South Africa in the final match held at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.
