Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj expressed joy over the 'thunderous response' to director Nithilan Swaminathan's latest movie Maharaja, which stars Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. Lokesh's reaction to the positive response for the movie stems from his friendship with both Nithilan and Vijay Sethupathi.
Even though Lokesh has not watched the movie yet, he tweeted about it to add to the momentum the film is enjoying on social media and to encourage audiences to watch the movie in theatres.

Maharaja is Vijay Sethupathi's 50th film, making it a milestone movie. The film is a revenge drama and follows the quest of an ordinary barber who seeks revenge against those who wronged him.
