Vijay Deverakonda on Konda Surekha’s comments about Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce - ‘Struggling to express in decent language...'

Telangana minister Konda Surekha has been at the receiving end of criticism after claiming that Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader KT Rama Rao is responsible for actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce.

Several Telugu stars, including Jr NTR and Allu Arjun, had earlier called out the Minister for making such remarks. Now actor Vijay Deverakonda has spoken about the Minister's statements, saying that he is struggling to express in decent language his thoughts and feelings on what is happening in today’s politics.

Vijay Deverakonda slams Konda Surekha

Taking to Instagram stories, Vijay Deverakonda called out Konda Surekha for linking KT Rama Rao with Samantha and Naga’s divorce. He wrote, “Struggling to express in decent language my thoughts and feelings on what happened, today’s politics, politicians and their behaviour. Just want to remind many politicians out there that we vote for them to look after us, to talk about infrastructure and investment , bring in jobs and prosperity, talk about health and improve education and facilities, help us grow..We cannot allow or be ok with this as people. Politics cannot get any lower. Enough (sic).”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu reacts to Konda Surekha’s comments

Earlier, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu had responded to Konda Surekha's claims by saying that it takes a lot of courage and strength to come out and work, to survive in a glamorous industry where women are more often than not treated as props.

Samantha added, “Konda Surekha Garu, I am proud of what this journey turned me into—please don’t trivialise it. I hope you realise that your words carry significant weight as a minister. I implore you to be responsible and respectful of individuals’ privacy.”

Samantha had also asked Konda to refrain from speculating about her personal matters. Reacting to Samantha's statement Konda Surekha said, “If you or your fans have been hurt by my words, I unconditionally retract them. Please do not take it otherwise.”

Konda Surekha found herself in the middle of a controversy after she claimed that Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader KT Rama Rao is responsible for Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu tied the knot with Naga Chaitanya in 2017 but the star couple announced their separation in 2021, after four years of marriage. Naga Chaitanya is now engaged to actress Sobhita Dhulipala. After dating for a few months, the couple made their relationship public by sharing engagement pictures on social media in August.
