Vijay 69 OTT release date: Anupam Kher-starrer family entertainer to premiere on this platform

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher is all set to feature in the lead role in the upcoming film, Vijay 69. In the film, the veteran actor plays the role of a 69-year-old man who defies societal expectations by training for a triathlon and refuses to let his age act as a barrier to his dreams. The makers of Vijay 69 announced that this family entertainer drama film will make its world premiere on Netflix next month.

The makers of Anupam Kher-starrer Vijay 69 revealed that the family entertainer will be releasing on Netflix on November 8.

Starring Anupam Kher, Chunky Panday, and Mihir Ahuja, Vijay 69 is written and directed by Akshay Roy and backed by Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films Entertainment. The film marks the fourth collaboration between Netflix and YRF Entertainment, after the successes of the drama series The Railway Men; a documentary series on filmmaker Yash Chopra - titled The Romantics; and the thriller drama film Maharaj.

Vijay 69 follows the life of Vijay, a 69-year-old man who begins training for a triathlon and refuses to back down from following his ambitions.

Speaking about the film, Anupam Kher said in his statement that Vijay 69 is more than just a film and is a testament to the passion, perseverance and unshakable human spirit. The actor added that the film embodies the belief that age is never a barrier to pursuing one’s dreams.

He added, “Playing this role has been an inspiring journey for me, and I'm excited for audiences around the world to experience this wholesome story on Netflix. Anupam was last featured in a courtroom drama film titled Kaagaz 2, directed by VK Prakash. The film also featured Darshan Kumar, Satish Kaushik, Smriti Kalra, Anang Desai, and Kiran Kumar. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Nirnayakam.
