Vicky Kaushal-starrer war drama film Chhaava is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Though earlier it was reported to have a box office face-off with Pushpa 2: The Rule, it is now revealed that the release date of Chhaava has been pushed forward to avoid a clash with the Allu Arjun-starrer. Though the makers of Chhaava have not revealed the film’s new release date, it is reported that Pushpa 2 will have a solo release at the box office on December 5.

According to a report by Midday, the makers of Chhaava will push forward the release of the war drama film to avoid a clash at the box office. The new release date will be unveiled soon. While both Pushpa 2 and Chhaava stars Rashmika Mandanna, Allu Arjun plays the titular role in the Telugu film while Vicky Kaushal plays the central character in the Hindi movie.
Chhaava cast and crew
For those unaware, Chhaava is based on the novel by Shivaji Sawant. The film features Vicky Kaushal who will be essaying the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, while Rashmika Mandanna will portray the role of Sambhaji's wife, Yesubai. The film also features Divya Dutt as Sambhaji's stepmother, Soyarabai, and Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb.
Marking the first on-screen collaboration between Vicky and Rashmika, Chhaava is directed by Laxman Utekar. The film is being backed by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films.
After finishing the shoot for Chhaava, Rashmika took to her social media handle and penned a note for the film’s team. She wrote, “@laxman.utekar sir... I just wonder how can a man handle such a big set with at least 1500 working people with such calm and poise."
Pushpa 2, on the other hand, is the second part of the 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise. It features actress Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli and Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj. The much-anticipated film also features Fahadh Faasil, Dhananjaya, Sunil, and Ajay Ghosh, among others.
