With less than a day left for the grand Dussehra release of superstar Rajinikanth-starrer Vettaiyan, the hype surrounding the film is through the roof, as fans have already begun celebrations. The first single from the film, Manasilaayo, composed by popular music director Anirudh Ravichander, has been a hit ever since it was first unveiled, sparking the ‘Manasilaayo dance trend’ on social media. Fans and viewers alike have been recreating the hook steps of Manju Warrier and Rajinikanth from the song.

Celebs join the Manasilaayo dance trend

Now, Kollywood actors have also joined the bandwagon to celebrate the film and song, with stars like Ashok Selvan, Regina Cassandra, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Keerthi Pandian taking part in the viral dance trend. Taking to social media, the Kollywood actors danced to the viral song in glamorous outfits as they were seen together at the recent Kalyan Jewellers’ Navaratri celebrations in Kerala.

Sharing the fun-filled dance clip, actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar wrote, “Jumping on the #manasilaayo trend. Can't wait to see our Thalaivar @rajinikanth sir on screen. We dedicate this to him and especially for you @manju.warrier darling. Wishing the team all the very best for Vettaiyan. Manasilaayo fever is on!

The first song, Manasilaayo is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and featured vocals rendered using an AI-generated voice of the late legendary singer Malaysia Vasudevan. Upon its initial release, the song became an instant hit among audiences, serving as a celebratory anthem during the Onam festival this year. Earlier, Manju Warrier expressed her joy over the positive reception of Manasilaayo and thanked fans for its success. She expressed her gratitude, calling the overwhelming response a "blessing" in her career. She shared, "We filmed the song with a lot of enthusiasm, never imagining that fans would enjoy it to this extent. I want to thank everyone for its success. The feedback I've received has been incredible, and it brings me so much joy. I didn't expect this kind of reaction, but I’m thrilled to have been a part of it."

Helmed by Jai Bhim director T.J. Gnanavel, the upcoming cop drama features Rajinikanth as the cop and Rana Daggubati as a cunning entrepreneur. Besides the lead cast, the film also features Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Shaji Chen, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, and G.M. Sundar in key roles.
