Vettaiyan: Watch Nazeema aka Rohini's lively interaction with Rajinikanth in new promo

The character reveal promos continue from the Vettaiyan team, as the makers of the Rajinikanth-starrer unveil the character introduction video of actress Rohini from the film.

Introducing her character as Nazeema, the new behind-the-scenes video captures actress Rohini on the set of the film. The video also features the actress in a fresh look, sporting unibrows and muted-toned attire. Paired with round spectacles, actress Rohini embodies the look of a typical government official in the film. The video ends with the actress greeting Rajinikanth, as they promise to share screen space together in the movie.

Although the makers have not revealed other details about her character, we believe she might play an important role in aiding Rajinikanth’s team of encounter specialists in the film. Earlier, the makers had released the character promo of Abhirami.

Rajinikanth has high expectations for Vettaiyan

During his recent meet-up with the press, the Tamil superstar was asked about working on TJ Gnanavel's directorial. Rajinikanth opened up about his confidence in the film and expressed his excitement for audiences to watch it. Drawing comparisons with his previous film Darbar, the actor said, “Vettaiyan is riding on massive expectations, and I am confident it will live up to the hype. While both Darbar and Vettaiyan are cop dramas, Vettaiyan promises to bring a fresh and unique take that sets it apart from Darbar.”

Anirudh Ravichander hails Vettaiyan as content-driven film

Composer Anirudh Ravichander had earlier mentioned that when director Gnanavel approached him with the story, he felt that having Superstar Rajinikanth in such a film would bring a fresh appeal. He added that the film aligns with today's audience, who are drawn toward content-driven films, and expressed his belief that Vettaiyan would make a significant impact. “All of us now prefer films that are strong in content, right? I believe Vettaiyan will create a huge impact as a film,” the popular composer-singer said.

Vettaiyan is directed by Jai Bhim-fame director TJ Gnanavel and features a star-studded cast, including Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Shaji Chen, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan and GM Sundar.

The film is slated for a worldwide release on October 10, 2024.
