Vettaiyan: Fahadh Faasil begins dubbing for Rajinikanth-starrer | Check out new pics

Vettaiyan is all set for its big release this year and the team is now gearing up to complete the post-production work of the Rajinikanth-starrer. Recently, the makers of the film shared that the dubbing session for the TJ Gnanavel directorial has begun, with Fahadh Faasil. The makers released pics from the dubbing session, where actor Fahadh Faasil is seen dubbing for his portions at a studio. It looks like the actor must have completed shooting for his pending sequences and is currently finishing the post-production work.

Vettaiyan to have a Diwali release?

Earlier, superstar Rajinikanth himself revealed that Vettaiyan would release on October 10 during the Dussehra holidays. However, according to the latest reports, the makers are planning to push the film’s release to another date. Although the makers did not confirm the dates, Rajinikanth’s statement was making rounds on social media until the makers of Suriya’s Kanguva barged in to make an official release date announcement. The makers of Suriya-starrer Kanguva announced that the period action drama will grace cinemas on October 10, 2024. 

The announcement by Kanguva makers indeed took everyone by surprise, as two biggies are set for release on the same day. However, to avoid a major clash during the festive season, the makers of Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan are planning to push the release date of the film to Diwali and give the Suriya-starrer a solo release. An official confirmation from Vettaiyan makers is expected to be released soon.

Vettaiyan OTT partner

Even before the film completed its filming, the digital partner for the film was confirmed. As per sources, the film’s OTT rights have been acquired by Amazon Prime for a massive price. The film will be available for streaming on the OTT giant after its theatrical run. 

Directed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame, Vettaiyan stars Rajinikanth, who is said to be playing the role of a cop in the upcoming action drama. Besides Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil, the film will also feature Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Shaji Chen, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, and GM Sundar, among others.
