Filmmaker Venkat Prabhu confirmed on Wednesday the news of his brother Premgi's wedding. He revealed that Premgi will be tying the knot with his long-time girlfriend in a ceremony attended by just family and close friends.
"After many years, a joyous event is happening in our family. The question of when Premgi will get married was more pressing than 'why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?' or 'who is currently dating Swapna Sundari?' On June 9, Premgi's wedding will take place. It will be an intimate affair with family and close friends. Premgi will marry his girlfriend with the blessings of our mother," Venkat said in a statement issued to the media.

In a not-so-subtle manner, Venkat reminded fans not to attend the wedding based on the viral invitation. "There are several speculations about the bride, including claims that she belongs to the media. However, none of these are true. After the wedding, I will share photos. Please respect our privacy, bless the newlyweds from wherever you are, and make it viral. We look forward to meeting you at the wedding reception," he added.
Venkat didn't even mention the name of the girl who will marry Premji.
On the career front, Venkat is currently busy making a movie with Thalapathy Vijay. The film, titled The Greatest of All Time, is one of the most anticipated movies of 2024. It is now in post-production and is expected to hit screens on September 5.
