VD 14: Vijay Deverakonda essaying THESE two roles in Rahul Sankrityan period-action drama?

One of actor Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming projects is VD 14 (tentative title) with director Rahul Sankrityan and a few updates about the film have been buzzing on the internet lately. According to the latest reports, Vijay Deverakonda is all set to play dual roles! Yes, you read that right, the Family Star actor is all set to play dual roles for the first time in his career. The latest grapevine also suggests that Vijay Deverakonda will be playing the roles of a father and son. However, an official confirmation is awaited.

The upcoming film is directed by Rahul Sankrityan who is best known for Shyam Singha Roy. The young director is reuniting with his Taxiwala lead actor Vijay Deverakonda for the second time. According to reports, Vijay Deverakonda will be playing a warrior but his other role is yet to be revealed. The actor, who is known for his urban-centric roles, will be donning a new look for this period drama. The story is set in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, and the film will delve deeper into the unique culture of the region.

Currently, the film's pre-production has already begun with the first shooting scheduled to commence in September. The director had earlier expressed his joy over the project and said that the Liger actor is making all preparations to get into the character. The director recently spilled that Vijay is preparing hard to master the Rayalaseema slang and will also undertake training for horse riding. All in all, the young talent is doing everything it takes to perfect his role for his next.

Vijay Deverakonda’s VD 14 - Massive budget allocated

Despite the failure of Vijay Deverakonda’s last few films, producers do not seem to be keen on reducing the budget for his next film. According to reports, Mythri Movie Makers who are bankrolling this mega film have allocated a massive budget of Rs 120 crore. But this is because the production team is eager to work on the interesting script narrated by Rahul Sankrityan.
