    Varun Dhawan has completed shooting for the first schedule of David Dhawan’s upcoming film, alongside actress Mrunal Thakur.

    Bollywood star Varun Dhawan is reported to have completed the first schedule of his upcoming film with actress Mrunal Thakur despite suffering a rib injury. The film is directed by Varun’s father David Dhawan and is touted as a comedy film.

    According to reports, Varun Dhawan has completed the shooting for the first schedule of his upcoming film with David Dhawan alongside Mrunal Thakur. During filming, Varun also suffered a rib injury.

    This is the first on-screen collaboration between Varun and Mrunal. Varun has worked with his father David Dhawan in the past on films such as Judwaa No. 1, Coolie No.1 and Main Tera Hero starring Nargis Fakhri and Ileana D’Cruz.

    According to a report by Mid-Day, a huge set was constructed in Mehboob Studios for the film's shoot. Backed by Ramesh Taurani under the banner of Tips Entertainment, the film is expected to be a love triangle, also featuring Maniesh Paul and is scheduled to release on October 2, 2025.

    The next schedule will reportedly start shooting in November and in the meantime, Varun can complete his shooting for the film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.

    Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is written and directed by Shashank Khaitan and features an ensemble cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul and Akshay Oberoi.

    Varun also has Baby John in the pipeline which is the official Hindi remake of Tamil film Theri. The film was earlier scheduled to release on May 31, 2024, but was later postponed to December 25, 2024. Helmed by A Kaleeswaran, the film, starring Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sanya Malhotra, and Jackie Shroff, is jointly produced by Atlee, Priya Atlee, Jyoti Deshpande and Murad Khetani. The actor will also feature in Citadel: Honey Bunny alongside South star Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

    On the personal front, Varun and his wife Natasha Dalal recently welcomed a baby girl and he shared the good news on his Instagram handle.
