Urmila Matondkar had connection with Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor even before she was born, here's what the actress said
Urmila and Sridevi worked together in the 1997 film Judaai which also stars Anil Kapoor. A year ahead, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor got married and welcomed Janhvi just a few days after the film was released.
Urmila Matondkar along with Bhagyashree and Remo D’Souza is currently judging Zee TV’s reality show, DID Super Moms. In the upcoming episode, Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor will be appearing as the guest. During the show, Urmila said that she already connected with Janhvi even before she was born.
The Rangeela actor was reminded of her Judaai co-star Sridevi while watching a performance by a contestant named Sadika, who portrayed a pregnant woman in her act. While commenting on the same, Urmila revealed that Sridevi was pregnant with her first child Janhvi during the shoot of Judaai.”I remember, when I was shooting with Sridevi Ji for one of the songs in our film - Judaai, she was pregnant with Janhvi at that time. We(Janhvi and Urmila) spoke about having a connection even before she was born, and I must say it was a really heartwarming moment for us to reconnect about it. Similar to Sridevi Ji, you have also danced with your daughter, and I wish your life is filled with lots of love and happiness going forward,” she was heard as saying.
For the unversed, Urmila and Sridevi worked together in the 1997 film Judaai which also stars Anil Kapoor. A year ahead, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor got married and welcomed Janhvi just a few days after the film was released. Sridevi passed away in 2018 due to accidental drowning in Dubai. She is survived by her husband Boney, and daughters-Janhvi and Khushi.
Talking about Janhvi, the star kid appeared on the reality show to promote GoodLuck Jerry, which recently premiered on Disney+Hotstar. Directed by Siddhart Sen, the black comedy also stars Mita Vashisht and Deepak Dobriyal in pivotal roles. Written by Pankaj Matta and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, Aanand L. Rai, and Mahaveer Jain, the film is well-received by the audience.
