Kamal Rashid Khan , popularly known as KRK, is being missed by netizens after his arrest over his 2020 tweets. As Karan Johar ’s production venture Brahmastra is approaching its release date, his fans want that he gets bail so that they can read his reviews. Some of the fans also alleged that the filmmaker is behind his arrest so that his movie starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt doesn’t suffer because of his reviews.
A section of people have also come out in support of KRK questioning that several Bollywood biggies have tweeted controversial statements, but why he was arrested and not others. For those unaware, KRK has been arrested over his tweet about Akshay Kumar and Ram Gopal Verma. As per the police, after the release of the trailer of Akshay’s Laxmii Bomb in 2020, he posted a tweet that was communal in nature. And in the same year, in reaction to a picture posted by Ram Gopal he made derogatory remarks.
The court has sent KRK to 14-day judicial custody, however, his lawyers filed a bail application. The court has adjourned the hearing on bail to September 2. Amid this, his fans have flocked to Twitter to express their views on his arrest. While one user wrote, “Like #KRK many celebrities have posted & deleted controversial tweets look at #KanganaRanaut #Twitter permanently banned her but no one arrested her but since he is not so powerful & rich. Bollywood bullies have #KRKArrested Hope he comes back before #Brahmastra to roast it.”
Another KRK supporter wrote, “Will someone tell why #SalmanKhan𓃵 is still free ! #KRK is arrested for 2 years old tweet! But #SalmanKhan being a murder still roaming freely !why ?”. One of them missed his entertaining posts on YouTube and wrote, “ Just heard the news that #KRK was arrested, so who’s going to entertain us now” Some criticised Karan Johar and wrote, “ Whoever arrested #KRK should also arrest @karanjohar because he offends most non-nepo people through the show #KWK” Another commented,“If you have to arrest #KRK to stifle independent voices then for sure #Bollywood and specially #Karanjohar is sh!t scared “
A few also poke fun at Karan Johar and his Brahmastra after KRK’s arrest. “So all that was standing in the way if Brahmastra becoming a hit was @GemsOfBollywood and maybe #krk? That doesn't instill any confidence about the movie then....I don't know who all are investing money in that movie, but they should be really careful”. Another user commented, “Very interesting timing on @kamaalrkhan arrest. Right before he can do a review on the over budget film #Brahmastra what a sham. That won’t stop others from reviewing.”
Meanwhile, after Vijay Deverakonda starrer Liger debacle, Karan is hoping for a positive response from Brahmastra. It is an upcoming sci-fi fantasy drama, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in key roles. The film is set to arrive in theatres on September 9.
