The trailer of the much-awaited Mammootty-starrer Turbo was released on May 12, and tons of reactions from fans have been flooding in on X (formerly Twitter). The action-comedy drama’s trailer was a pulsating fight fest between Mammootty and his opponents, but it was Raj B Shetty’s intro and his confrontation scene with the megastar that caught the attention of the social media users. Many users thanked Turbo director Vysakh for showcasing another side of the Kannada star Raj B Shetty who is essaying a menacing villain avatar for the first time. 

Commenting on the actor’s never-seen-before character, one user wrote, “KFI directors failed to utilise this man. Look at his Swag”. Another user wrote, “RAJ B SHETTY IS A SWAGGER. This Character Will Be Celebrated More Than Narasimha.” 

Fans, who have been awaiting a power-packed action flick in Malayalam cinema, have their wish fulfilled finally. “This trailer is exactly what I mean by a classic mass masala action flick! If the trailer is this good, just imagine how awesome the movie itself must be. Malayalam cinema is on fire right now! They're producing incredible films in every genre, and I love it,” another user commented.  

A fan tweet heaped praise on Mammootty for pulling off such daring stunt sequences at the age of 72, “That Ending Scene Is Fire Man. Prepare yourselves for a 72-year-old legend's freaking feast. Ikka Is Looking Better Than Ever. This Seems To Be His Commercial Comeback. Let All Hell Break Loose.”

The electrifying trailer of Mammootty’s Turbo begins with a whole lot of action sequences. Introducing Mammootty as Turbo Jose, the trailer has impressed the audience with daring stunts. The trailer also introduces the antagonist, Vetrivel, played by Raj B Shetty, whose entry sets the stage for a gripping showdown. With tons of adrenaline-packed sequences and swag, Turbo promises to be a must-watch action flick on big screens soon.

Mammootty-Vysakh’s Turbo

Directed by Vysakh, with whom Mammootty has previously worked in films such as Pokkiri Raja and Madhura Raja, Turbo is billed as an action comedy and boasts of an ensemble star cast including popular Telugu actor Sunil, Kannada actor-director Raj B Shetty, Anjana Jayaprakash and others. The screenplay for the film is penned by writer Midhun Manuel Thomas of Anjaam Pathiraa fame. On the technical front, Vishnu Sarma is the cinematographer, while Justin Varghese has scored the music for the film. Mammootty himself has produced the movie under his home banner Mammootty Kampany.
